Hi, I’m Adaora Maduakolam and I study Btec Level 3 Business at Westminster Kingsway College. I’m currently in my first year of the course and involves a work placement. Last week is when I started my work experience at Small Green Shoots.
What have you liked about your first week at SGS?
During my first week at Small Green Shoots I liked the fact that everyone was so welcoming and friendly from the beginning which made my nerves simmer down. I liked the fact that I’m already learning new skills, such as Admin, that would benefit me in my future career. Also, I’ve already worked at the Artist & Managers Award which gave me an insight of the music industry. It was a great experience to have as I got to see the behind the scenes of the event and big names in the industry.
Why did you want to work at SGS?
I wanted to work at Small Green Shoots because I admired the fact that they take their time to helping young people, like me, to grow by training them and the fact that the charity is based around the creative industry is the main reason why I wanted to work here.
What would you like to be doing when you leave SGS?
When I leave Small Green Shoots, during my last year of college I want to take classes in music production and performance. After this, I’m going to go to university to study in Business Management as well as starting my own business at the same time.
