‘Yesterday’s Gone’ is out January 20th on AMF  Records

22 year old rapper Loyle Carner revealed that his debut LP ‘Yesterday’s Gone’ will be out January 20 via AMF Records.

The South Londoner’s lead single ‘The Isle Of Arran’ was Annie Mac’s Hottest Record In The World on her BBC Radio 1 show last week, and tracks ‘Ain’t Nothing Changed’, ‘Florence’, ‘Stars & Shards’ and ‘No CD’ are available when preordering the album on iTunes.

I have listened to his songs and one tune that stands out to me is ‘NO CD’. It is incredibly clever and authentic, making a refreshing change from the usual boastfulness that graces most modern hip-hop. Its chorus becomes anthemic as it repeats and the relatable words name-drop everyone from Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin through to Jay-Z and Roots Manuva. At a festival, the atmosphere would become electric when this song drops

Another song I fancy from his album is ‘Stars & Shard’. This jazz-flowing, King Krule-nodding guitars with a head-turning flow is one of his best works. It cuts deep by peering through the windows of strangers and telling their dark, twisted stories.

All I can say is that I can not wait till this Album Drops!!
