June 2017 Emerging Artists


 Hare Squead 

Hare Squead are the culmination of Dublin born trio Lilo Blues, Tony Konstone, & Jessy Rose to come together through their infectious pop/ hip hop sound. The group can to the limelight with their track Herside Story which turned into a collaboration on the track with American rapper Goldlink on his 2017 album ‘At What Cost’.

Having signed to Columbia Records UK in 2016 & riding off the release of their ‘Supernormal EP’.

Hare Squead are definite ones to watch this year with their latest single ‘Pure’ taking a darker, more mature sound to their new EP ‘Season 2’. But if it’s got you interested in more the group are headlining their first London show at ‘Birthdays’ 26th July.




The Atlanta singer, songwriter & rapper came to the spotlight from his single “PRBLMS” which was released in June 2016 quickly becoming a hit before releasing his debut album ‘Free 6LACK’ with label LoveRenaissance and Interscope Records in November & subsequently named in Rolling Stones top 10 new artists.

The artist has started the year with performances on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’ & a guest performer on The Weeknd’s Legend of the Fall Tour

Tank And The Bangas

The New Orleans-based funk-soul musical group have easily transfixed their audience with their lively fusion of spoken word, gospel, soul & rock. The group’s lead vocals are provided by Tarriona “Tank” Ball. Other talents include Joshua Johnson on drubs & musical director, Normal Spence on bass & synth keys, Jonathan Johnson on bass, Merell Burkett on keyboard, Joe Johnson on keyboard, Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph and Kayla Buggaga on background vocals, Albert Allenbeck on alto saxophone and flute, and Etienne Stoufflet on tenor saxophone.

AJ Tracey

The London MC has made it far this past year, adding his own distinct style to the popularity growing genre.

It has been 2 years since AJ’s first release, The Front EP, & has since appeared on a Clams Casino remix with A$AP Rocky & Lil B, got a shout out from Drake on Beats 1 & featured on the BBC Sound of 2017 list.

It’s clear AJ Tracey is thriving, and you can watch his journey from the following festivals this year, ‘Lovebox’ in July, ‘Boomtown’ & Reading Festival in August, as well as Sundown Festival in September.






British singer, songwriter & producer, Shakka has fast become one to watch from his debut major label EP The Lost Boys in 2015 which featured the popular track Say Nada, before his return with 2016 follow-up EP, The Island which debuted at 17 on the iTunes Charts earning him a second MOBO Award & a spot in The Independent’s Ones To Watch 2017 list.
