About Me – Anna
Music is at the backbone of everything I do, as it helps me connect to my heritage and my art. It enables me to express myself in terms of how I feel when I can not find the words.
Music like art must always be free… it is a force that comes into our lives without any rules, expectations or limitations. During the pandemic, it is even more apparent that music has been a refuge for people.
I would love to be a creative director in the music as I am able to see first hand the art that is being created and know I have contributed in ways to create it.
Billie Eilish has been an influence for me in terms of music. She shows the world that age is nothing but a number and it doesn’t have to stop you from getting to the places you want to get to. I’ve known from the age of 5 that I wanted to be a director and every step I take is to get to that point.
An artist I have recently come across that I love is Loyle Carner, his music is real. He expresses himself with simplicity that in itself is impressive. He uses his music to present a sense of freedom and allows his audience to feel that through his music. My favourite Loyle Carner song has to be Ottolenghi.
