I attended FlashBlack (oct 26) and I have to say, it really impressed me. It was a blast back to a time where soul had deep meaning and music was very inspiring. Artists such as Kirsty Spence highlighted my night as her brilliant tone of voice made me feel as though I was watching a performance from the 60’s. So awe inspiring was it to hear Dave tell the audience about the struggles he and his family had to endure through the times of slavery and discrimination. Every act had me thirsting for the next, to the point that it was near 11pm and I did not want to leave. I was supposed to take many more pictures of the event however, the performers made me forget my purpose of being there.
All-in-all, FlashBlack was a 10 out of 10 and it is a shame that it did not get much publicity.
