About the Role

 

 

Based at our new office in Kings Cross, you will be a part of a dynamic, fast paced and highly motivated team who are passionate about music, events and content. We hope to transform the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, giving them an opportunity to engage with music and the arts, using these experiences as a springboard for their future career. You will have a level of autonomy in your role and will be working towards developing a career in Events & Marketing. Your progression will be supported by relevant training and regular one-to-one sessions. You will act as an Events & Marketing Assistant for Small Green Shoots, ensuring our programme of events is run to a high quality and standard as well as managing social media & marketing campaigns for digital & physical events and projects, editing static and video content to create high quality assets.

 

Camden and Islington Residents focused, but other applicants considered.

 

Tasks/Responsibilities will include.

Events

·       Support on the planning and delivery of an event from the beginning planning stages, logistics of the event to evaluating post-event.

·       Responding to event enquiries in an appropriate and timely manner.

·       Liaising and communicating with all partners involved in the event (i.e. Event Manager, Technical Team, Venue Manager, Artists and other staff involved in the specific event.

·       Providing support to the Events Manager on the day of the specific event and in the immediate lead up to the event.

·       To have a creative approach of event and programming ideas that support the ethos of the organisation.

Marketing

·       Lead on the PR & Marketing campaign/planning for Small Green Shoots events.

·       Posting relevant event updates via our social media channels.

·       Supporting the monitoring and evaluation of our marketing activity using google analytics and other packages.

·       Keeping up to date with the latest digital marketing platforms.

·       Providing support to the Events Manager on the day of the specific event and in the immediate lead up to the event.

·       Editing video footage & images using Photoshop, Premier Pro & Canva.

·       Writing regular blogs and creating newsletters using Mail chimp.

·       Using In-design and illustrator to create content such as promotional material, and marketing assets.

  • Creating, scheduling, and publishing content across multiple social media channels and scheduling tools such as Hootsuite.
  • Working with agencies, Partners, and stakeholders to develop design concepts and social media campaigns.
  • Be the point person to liaise with our external PR company, Break Communications.

Small Green Shoots is an NPO & Registered charity founded in 2010 by CEO/FOUNDER Natalie Wade. Our mission is to simply Change Lives. We have several strands to what we do as an organisation.

 

Bid Writing & Consultancy; We support artists/creative/project managers in the industry obtain the appropriate funding to assist them in their work.

 

Outreach Programmes: We deliver a range of funded outreach programmes, targeted at engaging vulnerable and at risk young people.

Shoots Programme; Our entire organisation is run by the shoots! We provide the right training and skills tailored to each individual shoot, to prepare them for their careers in the industry.

About the Candidate

· Some event assisting experience.

· Develop and support the production of the Small Green Shoots bi-annual Magazine.

·Experience of general administration tasks.

· Ability to use your platform, knowledge, and creative skills to create boundary-pushing, attention-grabbing and engaging social content.

·Ability to provide examples of particularly creative / engaging social media posts and to stay abreast of trends.

· Awareness / understanding analytics tools (e.g., Instagram insights).
