There was only one thing we were looking forward to this weekend and that was Elrow Town!
Full of colour, confetti and giant characters dancing around, Elrow is one event that stands out from the crowd. Coming straight from Spain, they came to entertain and brought the sun with them to London this Saturday. From start to finish, the day party in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (which felt very much like a festival) did not disappoint.
Upon entry we were greeted with “Elrow Dollars” which we soon discovered we could give in exchange for giant inflatable props. Elrow-marked inflatable in one hand, drink in the other, we danced around the park visiting all the different stages including the main stage ‘Singer Morning’ and ‘Mr Whompy’ which admittedly was probably the best there seeing as it was a former ice-cream van bouncing around with DJ decks inside. Can’t get any much more creative than that surely? Staying true to its roots in House, Techno & Garage, Saturday’s lineup featured acts like Jamie Jones, Roska, Crazy Cousinz, Eats Everything and more.
What was even more exciting is that the freebies didn’t stop at the inflatables. There were Spanish-dressed, friendly staff at stalls handing out free Sangria and Tapas, giving us a real taste of Spain in the best way.
Until next time Elrow! Who knows, maybe we’ll end up at your Haunted House Halloween special in Edinburgh? One thing’s for sure… we’ll see you in Ibiza next year!
