Boadi and The Bank Powers show review

“They made you feel part of the band”

Boadi And The Banku Powers

Rising band Boadi and the Banku Powers rocked the stage last Friday at the Camden Assembly. A quality palette of Neo Soul, Pop, Retro Jazz and Electronic RnB with a surprising range of instruments like the piano, electric guitar and drums accompanied with the amazing raw vocal power of Boadi, made it a night to remember.

Supported by 2 amazing bands  “Yakul” and “Gracie Convert” who started the night off with huge energy getting the crowd funked up with vibes complimenting the talented headliner. The crowd, captivated by the sound, energy and vibes, consisted of Camden workers and music lovers from as far as Birmingham unwinding on a Friday afternoon in this intimate and supportive venue.

Boadi and The Banku Powers are an amazing band bringing a huge sense of nostalgia echoing the likes of Louis Armstrong, Musiq Soulchild and Michael Kiwanuka. Performing hit singles “AwoMaa” and “One You” gave Boadi the chance to show off his uplifting, versatile voice with a powerful stage presence, getting the crowd singing along with his infectious personality immersing everyone in the room for one great and highly musical live night.
