About the Role


Based at our new office in Kings Cross, you will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced and highly motivated team who are passionate about Music, Events, Content. We hope to transform the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, giving them an opportunity to engage with Music and the Arts, and to use these experiences as a springboard for their future. You will have a level of autonomy in your role and will be working towards developing your career in content & creative production.

We are looking to recruit a passionate young person aged 16-24 as part of our small diverse team! Camden and Islington Residents focused.

You will act as an Administration Assistant; helping to manage the official Small Green Shoots accounts and administrative duties.

You will be reporting to the Administration Manager:  Mercy Wellbeck assisting with the day to day duties

The Small Green Shoots Low Down;


Small Green Shoots is an NPO & Registered charity founded in 2010 by CEO/FOUNDER Natalie Wade. Our mission is to simply Change Lives. We have several strands to what we do as an organisation.


Bid Writing & Consultancy; We support artists/creative/project managers in the industry obtain the appropriate funding to assist them in their work.


Outreach Programmes: We deliver a range of funded outreach programmes, targeted at engaging vulnerable and at risk young people.

Shoots Programme; Our entire organisation is run by the shoots! We provide the right training and skills tailored to each individual shoot, to prepare them for their careers in the industry.

As one of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations, Small Green Shoots has also piloted and developed our comprehensive and successful Young Shoots Programme.

Offering an alternative route into the workplace, each year this initiative offers young people the opportunity to manage our events, and to benefit from placements in companies like Insanity Records, Columbia Records and Wieden + Kennedy.


From the get-go they are mentored in all facets of event management – from bid-writing and brainstorming, through to media management, marketing and even basic accountancy. By developing transferable and tangible skills, Small Green Shoots aims to help them open doors to the hugely competitive creative industries sector.



About the Candidate


Skills required:


·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Professional.

·       Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

·       Ability to work on own and as part of a team.

·       Attention to detail.

·       Able to manage time well.

·       Self-motivated and reliable.

·       Basic Accounting and systems experience

·       Microsoft 365 proficient (specifically excel

·       Organisational skills.

·       Essential Strong communication skills, especially on email, willingness to learn, experience with Microsoft Office / 365

·       Database experience preferable.

Personal Qualities:


·       Flexible.

·       Excellent coordination skills.

·       Keen to work as part of a busy team.

·       Be able to use initiative.

·       Ready to travel at short notice.

·       A ‘can do’ attitude.
