This Tuesday evening (18th February 2020), one of the biggest nights in UK music calendar took place, The Brits 2020 at O2 Greenwich. From the star studded red carpet to the fantastic variety of performances, the night was one big celebration, even more so as the award ceremony turned 40 this year.

There were so many stand out moments throughout, but one that really stood out for us was Dave’s emotional tribute to the Grenfell Tower and London Bridge victims during his heartfelt piano performance of ‘Black’, even throwing in a dig at Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The Brits also got an exclusive as Billie Eilish performed her never before heard James Bond theme tune entitled ‘No Time To Die’.

Both performers got to take home trophies, Dave winning the Mastercard Album of the Year with his critically acclaimed album ‘Psychodrama’, and Billie Eilish winning International Female Solo Artist.

Lewis Capaldi was the night’s big winner taking home two awards, one for Best New Artist, and the other for Song of the Year, what a year he has had!

Alongside picking up his third Brit Award this year for British Male Solo Artist, Stormzy performed a medley of the hits taken from his album Heavy is the Head (Don’t Forget to Breathe, Do Better, Wiley Flow, Own It and Rainfall).

Overall, it was a night we won’t forget and we patiently await to see who goes home with an award next year. Also, it was a great experience for the shoots to be a part of the shortlisting process for the nominees.
