The total attendance at UK music events reached a mindblowing 21 million in 2014! That’s a 23% increase in three years, newly released figures have revealed.
3.5 million music-loving festival go-ers partied throughout the year and concerts attracted 17.5 million fans, generating £1 billion in direct and indirect spending for the UK economy.
With a booming increase of festivals, varying in all genres of music, these figures aren’t very surprising and it is doing wonders for the UK music scene. Performance opportunity for new artists is becoming more accessible, eliminating barriers and assisting with the development of raw talent.
