PRS for Music is home to 60,000 of the world’s best music writers, composers and publishers.
PRS for Music is one of the world’s most efficient combined rights collecting operations. Offering its members more money, more often, at less cost and its customers the most efficient means by which they can use music.

Performing Rights Society Foundation
PRSF
As the UK’s only independent funder of new music across all genres, the Foundation supports a huge range of new music activity – everything from unsigned band showcases to residencies for music creators, from ground-breaking commissions to live electronica.
We’ve worked with PRSF producing events to attract a more diverse range of funders, and delivering new music projects around the capital. We look forward to future work with the foundation on key projects in 2010.
Musicians Union
The Musicians’ Union represents over thirty thousand musicians working in all sectors of the music business.
Small Green Shoots are happy to have representation on the Circuit Live Group which Inspired by the Cultural Olympiad, the Musicians Union and British Underground aim to identify, nurture and support a new network of live music venues that offer a welcoming, accessible and safe environment and a high quality live music experience to young musicians and audiences.
Arts Council England
Arts Council England is the national development agency for the arts in England, distributing public money from Government and the National Lottery.
Small Green Shoots is glad to have representation on the panel for the prestigious “Artists Taking the Lead”, the most ambitious and wide ranging art commission in the UK and is being developed by Arts Council England, in partnership with London 2012 and the arts councils of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Westminster Adult Education Service
Westminster Adult Education Service (WAES) is one of the largest providers of adult education in London. We were able to provide bespoke workshop and networking event for the music dept featuring some of the best commercial session musicians in the business and representatives from BBC Radio and Musicians Union.
Westminster Arts
Westminster Arts Work closely in partnership with Westminster Council and offer support to a wide range of local groups, organisations and individuals, and develop projects that enrich the arts in the community.
We developed live music projects that focused on youth participants from the Harrow and South Westminster Wards, that had particularly “hard to reach” audiences with fantastic success.
MOBO Awards
Launched in 1996, The MOBO Awards were the first awards in Europe to celebrate urban music. The MOBO Awards have undoubtedly played an instrumental role in elevating black music and culture to mainstream popular status in the UK.
Small Green Shoots is proud to have representation on the MOBO Awards Panel.
DV8 Training
An innovative organisation based in Waltham Forest, which seeks to improve the life opportunities for young people through training within the creative industries.
Small greens Shoots is looking forward to delivering the events management unit of the Cultural and Creative Practice National Diploma for DV8 later this year.
Bigga Fish, Rising Tide & Urban development
These three organisations based in Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Newham respectively are innovative youth music organisations which provide opportunities for young artists and creatives in their local areas.
Small green Shoots is a proud partner of these high quality grass roots organisations, assisting them on any level with the delivery of their varied music projects and youth focused agenda.
Gaia Live
Gaia Live is the original internet radio, online audio facility, digital label, social network and underground hothouse for creative talent worldwide. Established online in 1995, Gaia Live has delivered the very best time and time again, from the burgeoning UK hiphop, electronica, dubstep and grime scenes, to the regeneration of Brick Lane. With a string of high profile artists launching their careers there, to groundbreaking technical and creative collaborations, Gaia Live has led the way from the start. Gaia Live is proud to work alongside Small Green Shoots.
British Academy of Songwriters and Composers
BASCA exists to support and protect the artistic, professional, commercial and copyright interests of songwriters, lyricists and composers of all genres of music and to celebrate and encourage excellence in British music writing.
Natalie Wade from Small Green Shoots developed the concept of “London Songwriters Week” in 2007. Featured artists have included Soweto Kinch, Sir Tim Rice, Alex James and David Arnold. Through partnership with BASCA it grows from strength to strength.
